Responding to COVID-19 with MTM’s Driving Transformational Change Grant

In early 2020, we announced the MTM Driving Transformational Change Grant for organizations committed to change, but unsure how to achieve it … and for those in need of focused consulting support, but unable to afford it.  Our plan was to receive applications in conjunction with NatCon20.  But obviously, all of that changed with the COVID-19 pandemic. So, we are adjusting as well.

To best assist those in need, MTM has expanded the grant funds available so that we can deliver pro bono consulting services to more organizations in the following areas:

IT and Telemedicine Consultation – We review additional technology, systems and procedures necessary to ensure HIPAA compliance, particularly for providers working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cost Finding - Our experts compare true cost to revenue in order to break down margin by position type and CPT/HCPCS code, giving organizations valuable data to inform systems changes.

Collaborative Documentation - When clinicians and consumers work together to develop the clinical record, the results include improved client engagement throughout the course of treatment in addition to expanded clinical capacity, care coordination and quality of clinician work life.

Just In Time Prescriber Scheduling - This process allows teams to move a consumer from their diagnostic assessment to a psychiatric evaluation within 3 to 5 days, greatly increasing engagement and reducing no shows and cancellations.

GAP Analysis – We present organizations with a clear picture of the client experience to access their care and how it relates to operations in order to make changes based on reality – not just the written policies and procedures.

Ten hours of general Internet-based consultation - May include phone or web-based meetings or presentations on a variety of consultation topics.

The application can be filled out online and is being accepted on a rolling basis.  MTM will begin notifying organizations selected for pro bono consulting services by the end of April. Up to four organizations will be selected and all consultation services will be provided online or via phone and must completed by December 31, 2020
