MTM Services

Gives Back

Over $150,000 Raised for ALS Research and Patient Needs

The heart of MTM is family and service.  Founded by David Lloyd, Sr. in 1995, the company has been run for the past decade by his son Scott Lloyd, who joined the team in 1998. In 2017, MTM welcomed David Lloyd, Jr. as a member of the consulting team, before he was forced to retire by the onset of ALS.  MTM and the Lloyd family have always been focused on helping others.  That mission has been central to our business for more than 30 years.

This picture was taken of Scott and David at the end of the 2018 HPDE season, a year after David’s diagnosis, and is one of Scott’s fondest memories of a perfect day at the track!

Racing for ALS

When David Lloyd, Jr. was diagnosed with ALS in October, 2017, we took on a new assignment - raising awareness of ALS and funds for research in hope of finding a cure. ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, is a progressive, neurodegenerative disease affecting approximately 30,000 people in the U.S. and 450,000 worldwide.  Although it is still thought of as a rare disorder, someone is diagnosed with ALS every 90 minutes and there is no effective treatment or cure. MTM has always been focused on solving problems.  And so, with David’s diagnosis, we have taken on the cause of funding ALS research.  It’s a serious subject, but we thought we could have a little fun along the way.

Celebrating Life

David, Jr. and Scott inherited a love of cars - particularly fast ones - from their grandfather, a lifelong mechanic.  The brothers had always talked of racing cars “one day,” but in October, 2017 everything changed - one day became today.  They are celebrating life and their time together while working to 'drive' funds toward a cure.  Racing for ALS is on a mission to make a difference. Together with the MTM family, they are raising funds for the ALS Therapy Development Institute, a nonprofit lab whose team of scientists is focused on a single mission: to discover and develop treatments for ALS.
